Brandy Brazell Obvintseva is a seasoned brand strategist, corporate culture designer, and communications professional with over 25 years of experience in the B2B industrial sector. She has led brand strategy, public relations, events, change management, media buying, creative planning, merger and acquisition communications, and product promotions for organizations including Texaco, Nalco Energy Services, Cheniere, and CGGVeritas.
In 2008, Brandy launched Energy People Connect, the industry's first integrated global social network and social media firm. It addressed the need for collaboration, diversity, and talent management across the hydrocarbon and alternative energy sectors. In 2011, she co-founded Shale Experts, a subscription-based platform delivering business intelligence for unconventional gas.
Brandy has also contributed as a member of the UN’s International Year of Planet Earth development committee and as Energy Chair for the American Marketing Association’s Houston Chapter. Additionally, she is a founding board member and Communications Director for TexSpace (texspace.org), a non-profit that aligns civil, commercial, and military space initiatives for Texas.
Since 2014, Brandy has been the Principal of Gallant, a Houston-based communications firm supporting clients in diverse B2B industrial markets. She currently serves as the Director of Communications for Geothermal Rising—a client of Gallant and the largest, longest-standing organization dedicated to geothermal advancement.
Brandy is a certified Gallup leadership development trainer, a sought-after executive coach, and a mentor. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a concentration in Communications from the University of St. Thomas and lives in Houston, Texas, with her husband and family.
