Hadley McClellan Schafer is a seasoned event strategist, keynote speaker, and best selling author, Break At The Bend, with more than twenty-three years of experience creating transformative conferences and corporate gatherings around the world. As the Founder & CEO of Holistic Meeting Strategies, she partners with associations and small to mid-sized businesses to design purpose-driven events that spark connection, deliver measurable impact, and drive growth.
Hadley built her career leading event strategy for multinational corporations and professional associations, managing programs that range from intimate leadership retreats to global conferences hosting nearly 100,000 participants. Known for her operational excellence, keen financial acumen, and creative approach to engagement, she has transformed how organizations approach planning—balancing big-picture vision with seamless execution and profitability.
In 2025, Hadley’s memoir, Break at the Bend (Wise, Inc.), was released, chronicling her deeply personal journey of resilience and reinvention.
